Welcoming our fourth owner: Dr. Ramona Perry joins the Emergence Collective leadership

We’re excited to share that Dr. Ramona Perry has joined Emergence Collective as our fourth owner. This milestone represents both growth in our leadership team and the natural progression of a relationship that we have all built together. 


Ramona's connection with EC began early in our organization’s story, even before the entire founding team had committed full-time to this work. She officially joined our organization in January 2020 and has been a steady presence since. Mind you, this includes while she completed her dual PhD program in social work and psychology. Through all of EC's evolutions and organizational  life stages, Ramona has been such a key part of what makes EC who we are. 


We at Emergence Collective are the lucky ones—we get to be on a team with Ramona. Those of you who have worked with her have seen the deep wisdom she brings to her work and relationships. With Dr. Perry as an owner, we’ll continue to benefit from her calm presence, which grounds our conversations and creates space for thoughtful reflection and decisive action. 


About Dr. Perry

Dr. Ramona Perry is a macro social worker and social psychologist, passionate about aligning our understanding of the human experience with how we develop, evaluate, and disseminate programs and information. Dr. Perry holds a dual PhD in Social Work and Social Psychology from the University of Michigan and has extensive professional experience in evaluation, data analysis, and data dissemination. As a woman of color, Dr. Perry is passionate about honoring diversity and inclusivity in her work. She has contributed to pipeline training efforts and cultural awareness initiatives, and she frequently mentors students and supports the development of the next generation of evaluators and social change leaders.


Ownership at Emergence Collective

At Emergence Collective, we've built our structure around shared leadership and transparency. We care for each other while upholding the same equity principles we bring to our partner collaborations. We view ownership not as an endpoint but as an invitation to deeper collaboration, recognizing the unique contributions each person brings to our shared vision.


As we continue to grow, we remain committed to our founding principle: that collective wisdom creates more sustainable and equitable outcomes for everyone involved. With Ramona joining our ownership circle, we get closer to living that principle.
